Upcoming Exhibition

It is with great pleasure that LOGO Projects in conjunction with Ocean Ophthalmology Group presents “Mermaid Parade,” a new collection of works from photographer Linda Rosendahl. The exhibition will be on display from October 24thth 2009 – February 13th, 2010 at Ocean Ophthalmology Group.

All 14 works to be included in this exhibition were taken on a single day, June 20, 2009 at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade. As a series “Mermaid Parade” reflects the energy and colorful imagination of people in New York City. In the artist’s own words, “I enjoy taking portraits the most. It’s a great feeling to be able to capture someone and who they are at a given moment…I enjoy telling their stories through imagery.”

Rosendahl was given her first camera at age 10, a plastic red point and shoot that she took with her everywhere. After studying advertising at Florida State University, Linda decided to turn her passion into a full-time career. She attended the graduate program in photography at the Portfolio Center in Atlanta and then made the move to NYC. She began her career interning for Time Magazine’s photo department and working for the International Center of Photography. Rosendahl now freelances in both in NYC and South Florida. ABOUT LOGO PROJECTS
LOGO Projects is a non-profit program dedicated to matching artists and curators with professional business spaces. This chapter of LOGO Projects is located at Ocean Ophthalmology Group. The program was founded by Kharis Kennedy, a New York-based artist, and Dr. Kevin Stewart. Dr. Stewart, a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist from New York, recently relocated to Miami to open Ocean Ophthalmology Group with Dr. Jesse Pelletier, a cornea and refractive surgery specialist from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
